Ingredients

For Sponge

  • All-purpose Flour 350.0 g
  • Dry yeast 2.3 tsp
  • Sugar 20.0 g
  • Water 275.0 ml

Method

  1. For Sponge

    • Sift flour in a mixing bowl, add yeast and mix well.
    • Mix sugar with water. Stir to dissolve and pour into the flour. Knead the mixture until it hold together into a ball. Set aside for 30 minutes until it raise double its size. Set aside.
  2. For Dough

    • Sift flour with charcoal powder and BEST FOODS Baking Powder Double Acting Formula together in a mixing bowl. Set aside.
    • Mix S.P. with water until blended.
    • Put sponge mixture, sugar and salt in a food processor and start kneading using hook until well mixed.
    • Add sifted flour in the processor and continue kneading until mixture hold together.
    • Add shortening and knead until smooth and soft. Remove to working surface and knead into a ball. Rest for 5 minutes
    • Cut the dough into small pieces, 30 grams each. Form into round balls, and rest for 10 minutes.
    • Put pizza stuffing in the dough. Fold the dough to seal the stuffing and place on the lining papers. Cover with plastic and let it raise to double its size.
    • Arrange the bun in steam tray and steam over boiling water for 8–10 minutes. Remove from the steamer and serve hot.
  3. For Pizza Stuffing

    • Melt BEST FOODS Butter Flavoured Margarine in a saucepan and add onion, stir fry until cooked.
    • Add ham, sausage, sweet peppers and KNORR SELECTIONS Pizza Sauce and stir to combine.
    • Add oregano, black pepper and stir until sauce reduce and dry. Use for stuffing as desired.
