For the Doughnuts

  • BEST FOODS Butter Flavoured Margarine 1 kg 100.0 g
  • Bread Flour 370.0 g
  • Cake Flour 170.0 g
  • Yeast for Sweet Bread 7.0 g
  • White Sugar 95.0 g
  • Salt 9.0 g
  • Water 130.0 ml
  • Vegetable Oil 1000.0 ml
  • Egg 4.0 egg

For the Crispy Spicy Bits

  • KNORR Lime Seasoning Powder 400 g 14.0 g
  • Water 60.0 ml
  • Chilli Powder 8.0 g
  • Toasted Rice 15.0 g
  • Icing Sugar 60.0 g
  • KNORR Aroy Sure All-In-One Seasoning Chicken Flavoured 800 g 14.0 g

For the Glaze

  • KNORR Lime Seasoning Powder 400 g 2.0 g
  • Icing Sugar 110.0 g
  • Kaffir Lime Leaves, Finely Sliced

Method

  1. For the Doughnuts

    • Put all flour ingredients (except Best Foods Extra Butter Flavoured Margarine) in a bowl and mix well with a dough hook. Then gradually add in Best Foods Extra Butter Flavoured Margarine and mix well. Leave to rest for 30-40 minutes (until it has doubled in size).
    • Roll until 1 cm thick and cut with a doughnut cutter. Place the doughnuts in an oiled tray. Let the dough rise for another 30-40 minutes.
    • Fry in 180°C oil until golden. Leave to cool on the rack before decorating.
  2. For the Crispy Spicy Bits

    • Add water to Knorr Batter Mix and mix together. Drop the mixture into hot oil (use the doughnut frying oil) until golden and crispy. Leave to cool.
    • Mix the rest of the ingredients together and add the crispy flour.


  3. For the Glaze

    Mix Knorr Lime Seasoning Powder, water and icing sugar together.
  4. Doughnut Decoration

    Squeeze the glaze into a zigzag pattern on top of the doughnuts. Follow with the crispy spicy bits and fried kaffir lime leaves.
